A beautiful blue teapot. I am trying to introduce more candy colours into my kitchen and this teapot is perfect.

But the piece de resistance has to be this wonderful vintage sylko cotton dispenser. I am not ashamed to say folks that I begged the lady in the shop to sell this to me as she didn't want to. They were selling the cottons individually and she was quite reluctant at first. I can be very persuasive when I need to be and she made me very happy when she said I could buy it, cotton reels and all. How perfect is that for my vintage sewing room? I won't ever have to buy cotton again!

ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it when you find great things that are meant for you? I'm also introducing more candy colors. I found an aqua pyrex bowl today & an old china plate from England with turquoise band that I had been hoping to one day find (I saw one in a decorating mag in someone's home). I just wish we had more bargain prices here - I think they are too savvy in CA & the great stuff is few & far between - especially since the thrift store I visit is on a street with many, many antique shops.

Wow what great finds! My kitchen is that baby blue colour, it is so fresh and happy. I was thinking about introducing those colours all over my house! I dread to think how much you ended up paying for your thread dispensor!! :)
