Avalon

No, not a Roxy Music reference!   This Friday, Talent for Textiles is holding a sale at a new venue.  The Avalon Textile and Decorative Fair will be held at the Abbey Barn in Glastonbury, Somerset.  You can read all about the venue on Linda's blog here or Elizabeth's blog here.

I have been buying special bits to take with me.  Here is a little preview for you.

A beautiful silk devore dress from the 1920's.  It has a matching silk chiffon and devore jacket and very beautiful beaded detail.

A wonderful find, this is a vintage Master's gown, made from black taffeta.

Lots of lovely new fabrics including some Liberty, William Morris's Strawberry Thief

Some marching soldiers

Dekoplus children's fabric

Buckles?

1970's folky florals

Some pretty fat quarters

Pussy Willow

More florals

 1950's Prom dresses

The yellow one has a matching hat!

1940's handmade silk dress

1940's grey dress with pretty metal floral buttons

Hope to see you there.
