From Fabrics Scraps

Tomorrow I am going to meet a lady who I have been wanting to meet for a long time. Cowslip Workshops has long been a sewing sanctuary of mine, I have been going there for about 11 years now, and this weekend I am going to attend a course run by the wonderful Julie Arkell!

So today I have been sorting out fabric scraps, ribbons and buttons, ready to take. It's hard to know what to take and what to leave behind!

They started out like this

but after ironing them I got to sorting them into piles and then they ended up like this

So here is my basket, all packed and ready to go

I shall be back to let you know what I made!

p.s If you can, come to the Cowslip Workshops tomorrow as Jo is having a charity sale and tea party. I will have a stall there. Lizzie and Linda will also be there with their wonderful French textiles. Pin It

Thank you Donna.
I must now go, though I'm dragging OH and three young kids to the Contemporary Craft at Bovey Tracey on Sunday and it looks like a day of rain, I hope they will forgive me!!!
Maybe next weekend I trip to Cowslips!

Have a wonderful day! I did a brilliant workshop with Julie at Hope & Elvis earlier this year, we made suffolk puff brooches and a tick-tock watch. You have some gorgeous fabrics, I'm looking forward to seeing what you make!

You will love Julie - and the workshop! I had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband when she attended the opening of an exhibition hosted by a friend of mine here in Denmark, and she is one of the loveliest and most charismatic people I know! She actually bought a vintage dress of me, so say hello from Kirsten in Denmark who sold her the "Frau Dress" ;-) !
