All the fun of Frome's Fabulous Fair!

A picture heavy post just to show you all the wonderful stalls that were at the Vintage Bazaar on Saturday.

The next one is on April 21st 2012 so if you haven't made it to one yet, put the date in your diary and try to come.  You will not regret it!

Beautiful things I am sure you will agree?  I love seeing the customers who attend these great events as many of them  dress up in vintage clothes and look amazing.

The wonderful 1940's family looked fabulous (sorry my photo is so blurry).  You can read their blog here

Another benefit of doing these fairs is the stock I get to buy.  I was spoiled for choice but came away with these treasures:

Some of the fabrics have already found their way onto my website.

As promised, I have also added the fabric scrap bags, which are going fast.  I think these will make wonderful presents for crafty friends!

So, now it is full steam ahead to the next fair........ drum roll please .......... The wonderful, long awaited, annual Vintage and Handmade Christmas Fair.  Who's coming?

The Vintage Bazaar

Tomorrow is the Vintage Bazaar, the wonderful vintage fair held in the Cheese and Grain , Frome, Somerset.

There are lots of wonderful sellers there and for lovers of vintage it is a MUST!!

As usual I will be taking lots of fabrics, quilts, clothes and haberdashery.  New to my stock this time will be these wonderful fabric scrap bags.

This is  a new line that I will be adding to the website too.

I also have a number of new old stock vintage aprons.

Aren't they beautiful?

Lots of colourful cotton reels will be on the stall

and last, but not least, these beautiful 1940's fabric Suffolk Puffs (or yo yo's).

Cath Kidston has used these very creatively in her new book Patch, so I expect they will be very popular.

Hope to see you there! Pin It

My drawers

Just popping in quickly to show you my drawers.  No, not those ones, saucy, these lovely old cotton reel drawers!

How gorgeous are they?

There are a set of vintage Sylko drawers made of wood with little plastic handles and  vintage French Cartier-Bresson drawers. They are also made of wood and have thick card drawers with plastic fronts.  These would have graced the counters of all good haberdasheries selling these iconic brands of cotton.

The good news is that they are now listed in my website and can be used for cotton reels or any other haberdashery items in a sewing or craft room.

Quilts and Eiderdowns

With the weather turning a little colder and a definite nip in the air I have listed some eiderdowns and quilts to the website in readiness for those inevitable cold nights of Winter.

Lots of pretty eiderdowns and Comfy quilts are already listed with more to come over the next few weeks.
